Westcreek Bobby Original Painting
While on my way into town one fall day, a bobcat ran across the road in front of me. Being a nature lover and wildlife artist, I stopped the car and walked to the side where the cat had bounded down the embankment and crossed the creek and was looking at me from the otherside. I started talking to it in a soft voice, telling it how beautiful it was, and how it should be more careful!
I finally told it to leave, and it did, walking slowly up the hill into the willows and the Golden Current bushes, which were in full fall splendor.
The multi-colored lichens splattered over the rock outcropping made such a good contrast that I knew I had to photograph and sketch the scene and turn it into this painting.
